The latest, two weeks ago, was a rig placed aboard Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas, consisting of 52 VL3000s, VL5bs, VL6Cs, and VLMBs Atlantis Charter Cruises provides cruise events for a gay clientele. The latest cruise departed from Florida and made stops at Puerto Rico, St. Martin, and Hispianola. During the seven-day cruise, there were four parties on deck, all lit by Smith.. In addition to the moving-light rig, there were also laser shows supplied and run by Kyle Garner of Laseronics. Smith notes that his rig was complered by a number of High End Systems F100 foggers; the lighting on the cruise was controlled by a High End Wholehog II. He explains his preference for Vari-Lite gear, because of "great service from VLPS/ PRG, reliable equipment, and the 300 series equipment is virtually impervious to water damage, as the repeaters, dimmers, and ballasts can all be located in a rain-protected area while the actual luminaires are out on deck."
