Earl Girls Inc., theatrical contractors in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, provided lighting and rigging subcontracting to Edwards Technologies from El Segundo, California, the A/V consultant and contractor. The multi-million dollar system was designed by House of Blues V.P. of production Aron Levine and ETI consultant Chris LeMarca. Earl Girls Inc. was contracted to provide the complete lighting and rigging systems for both the 2,200 seat concert venue and for Worship, the nightclub, a first for House of Blues as a separate facility. Equipment provided by Earl Girls Inc. consisted of CM motors and rigging; Skjonberg motor controls; High End Systems moving lights, including a DL2; Wildfire ultraviolet light; Thomas and Optikinetics truss; ETC Source Four ellipsoidals, PARs, and dimmers; Avolites consoles; and Fleenor interfaces. The multi-level concert hall and nightclub are part of a much larger House of Blues facility that was built in partnership with Harrah's Showboat casino in Atlantic City. The HOB area, located just off the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, also consists of a HOB branded casino, slot parlor, poker room, restaurant, private Foundation Room club, courtyard, and retail space. Outside on the beach guests may visit Sanctuary, the HOB beach bar on the white sands of the Atlantic Ocean. Since it's opening in June the concert hall has already been host to Eminem, The Blues Brothers, Dolly Parton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Duran Duran, Hot Tuna, The Black Eyed Peas, Counting Crows and Government Mule, among others.
