High End Systems Debuts the Road Hog Console
High End Systems Inc. has released the newest member of the Wholehog family: the Road Hog, a new breed of lighting console designed for speed and affordability, the company says. Road Hog debuts at the Prolight + Sound Show March 28-31 in Frankfurt, Germany. The console can be seen at the booth of HES' German distributor, Arcus Lighting (Hall 9.0, booth #B 74/76).
Designed from the ground up, Road Hog's simple and intuitive operations allow the user to create, manage, edit, and play back lighting cues to enhance any production environment, the company adds.
Brad Schiller, HES director of control systems development, says, "The Road Hog console has been developed as a lower cost alternative, allowing a wide range of users to experience the benefits of the Wholehog operating software. Its compact size and fast operating speed provide a sleek package that will fit nicely into various markets including corporate events, houses of worship, smaller touring shows, and rental applications. We are pleased to strengthen the Wholehog family with another superb lighting console."
The Road Hog console provides 2,048 DMX channels of control, offering fast performance speed. Two internal touch screens display data and allow quick access to its many features. Using standard Wholehog console hardware -- and the combination of Windows XP Embedded with the Wholehog operating software -- the Road Hog blends durability with productivity, and innovation with reliability, the company says.
