J. R. Clancy Announces Two New Staff Members

Shannon Sullivan and Micah Ascano.

J. R. Clancy has added two more people to its technical and mechanical design staff.

Shannon Sullivan joins the company as a technical designer, with responsibility for both manual and motorized rigging projects. Sullivan comes to Clancy from Syracuse Stage, where she served as a scenic carpentry apprentice. She attended the State University of New York at Albany, majoring in theatre with a focus in technical direction. Originally from Port Chester, New York, Sullivan now lives in Syracuse.

Micah Ascano comes to Clancy by way of his hometown in Breckenridge, Minnesota, and his education at South Dakota State University. As a mechanical designer for Clancy, he works on standard production lines with the goal of making products and parts more efficient and easier to use. Ascano has a degree in industrial management and a second degree in manufacturing, engineering and technology, with a minor in communications studies and theatre. He lives in Baldwinsville, New York, a suburb of Syracuse.
