Shure Creates New Business Unit

Shure Incorporated has combined the sales, marketing, and support staff of the company's international Americas business unit with the U.S. business unit to form the new Americas business unit.

"To drive sustained growth for the company, we decided to align these two business units into one," said Chris Schyvinck, Shure's executive vice president of global marketing and sales. "This new structure enables us to offer a broader set of resources to support our channel partners throughout the Americas -- Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean -- while continuing the same high level of service and support to our sales reps and customers in the U.S."

Mark Humrichouser has been appointed general manager of the new unit. In this capacity, he will lead the overall business for North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. In his most recent position at Shure, he was responsible for the growth and success of the U.S. market as the general manager. He brings 15 years of experience in sales, technology, and the audio industry to the company.

"I've really enjoyed working with our U.S. sales representatives, and I now look forward to working with a very highly-regarded group of distributors throughout the rest of North and South America", said Humrichouser. "Our Americas business unit team is positioned well, so that together, with all of our channel partners, we will continue to move the company forward."

Leading the sales team for the Americas will be José Rivas. As the director of sales, he will continue to play a critical role in sales and distribution strategy as well as market development for the business unit throughout the geographic region. Rivas has been with Shure for five years, using his sales and marketing experience to drive revenue for the International Americas business.

Terri Hartman is the director of marketing for the new organization. She will lead all advertising, marketing communications, public relations, and artist relations activities for the Americas. Hartman has held several sales and marketing roles in her 14 years at Shure.

Althea Ricketts will be the director of support services for the Americas. In this role, she will be responsible for managing the business unit's customer service, applications engineering, and training departments in addition to special corporate and divisional projects.

Chris Salay, director, financial analysis, will oversee all business and financial reporting for the Americas and analyze the business unit's financial position in the areas of revenue, expenses, and profitability.
