K/A/S Lighting Welcomes Industry Leader Bobby Flecker to Management Team

K/A/S Lighting, part of the Kaufman Astoria Studios (KAS) complex has announced that ,b>Bobby Flecker has joined the lighting management team as general manager. Mr. Flecker brings over 30 years experience to the department and will play an integral role in the future growth of K/A/S Lighting.

In his new position, Flecker and VP of K/A/S Lighting Mike Spera will bring new technologies including intelligent lighting, rigging, dimming and consoles and led lighting to the department. Together the team will strategize innovative ways to expand K/A/S Lighting's business portfolio throughout the city and region.

"We are thrilled to welcome Bobby to K/A/S Lighting. Bobby is an industry leader and has worked on countless films and television shows in New York," said Mr. Spera. "When a film has a lighting question producers frequently pick up the phone to call Bobby. I know he will be a great resource for our team."

Prior to joining K/A/S Lighting, Flecker was the VP of film and television at See Factor Industry for 16 years. He joined the company in 1994 to launch the film and television division. While at C-Factory Mr. Flecker worked with numerous blockbuster films and hit TV shows including Batman, Meet Joe Black, I Am Legend, Sex & the City, The Sopranos, and Spin City. Mr. Flecker began his career in 1978 at CineMobile Systems and has worked his way through many lighting departments.

"Since joining K/A/S Lighting I have already worked on major motion pictures and commercials including The Smurfs Movie, Son of No One and a Victoria's Secret commercial. I look forward to increasing the lighting team's presence in the entertainment industry and community," said Flecker.
