Clay Paky in Switzerland on Notre-Dame de Paris and the Starlight Circus

Notre-Dame de Paris was staged at Palazzetto Fevi, Locarno, Switzerland by the SFG Biasca gymnastic company. It was performed by 52 gymnasts and six actors, who sung live over original backing tracks by Riccardo Cocciante.

Freely adapted from Victor Hugo's novel. It tells the story of Quasimodo, the hunchback of Notre Dame, and his impossible and tragic love for Esmeralda, a beautiful gypsy girl: a love condemned by injustice and hypocrisy.

Lighting designer Paolo Battaglia, of Sound Light Services, exclusively used Clay Paky motorized lights to illuminate the show: Stage Zoom 1200s, Alpha Spot HPE 575s, Alpha Wash 300s, Golden Scan 1200s and Shadow Basics.

Battaglia also illuminated the 2010 edition of the Starlight Circus, one of the best-known circuses in Switzerland. It distinguishes itself for its acrobatic choreography and the sets that accompany the performances. For this edition, Battaglia added the new Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE 700 to the lighting equipment.
