Wildfire Inc. Supplies UV Fixtures to Tokyo Disneyland for Toy Story Mania!

Wildfire Inc., the maker UV (ultraviolet, aka "black light") effects for theatre, themed entertainment, and visitor attractions, has supplied Tokyo Disneyland with 137 Wildfire long-throw 250W UV lighting fixtures (model LT-250F) for a new Toy Story Mania! 4D dark ride experience. The order shipped to Wildfire's Japan distributor, H. Ito & Co. Ltd. in December 2010.

"Theme parks and attractions have long, busy operating schedules during the season and need to keep down time to an absolute minimum. Today's technically sophisticated attractions require reliable, robust equipment," says John Berardi, president of Wildfire Inc.

The Wildfire Long Throw is noted for providing bold, bright black-light effects with a powerful throw up to 80'. Features include DMX control with user-friendly display and built-in diagnostics; advanced electronic ballasting for extended lamp life and flicker-free operation; precision German-engineered lenses designed to filter out most visible light; split housing design to isolate sensitive electronics from the heat of the lamp; a polished Alzak anodized aluminum reflector, aircraft grade aluminum housing, and cool, energy-efficient operation.

Toy Story Mania! is an immersive, interactive high-tech dark ride with numerous special effects. Guests don 3D glasses, "shrink" to the size of a toy, and board vehicles that take them through a Toy Story-themed environment.

Theme parks are a primary market for Wildfire: Its customers include Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Warner Bros. Movie World, Six Flags and Knott's Berry Farm in addition to Disney.
