Latest Elation Proteus, Fuze, and KL Products to Show at PLASA 2022

Elation's Proteus Rayzor Blade L and S

Elation is partnering with Entedi Ltd. in the UK and is excited to team with the technology equipment solutions provider to present an exceptional line-up of new lighting tools September 4 - 6 at the PLASA tradeshow at Olympia in West London. Visitors to Elation/Entedi Stand E-14 will be some of the first in the UK to demo the latest cutting-edge luminaires in Elation's IP65 Proteus, high-performance/high-value Fuze, and broadcast-optimized KL ranges. Highlights include the Proteus Excalibur, the brightest IP65 full-featured beam fixture ever created which has already seen service on several high-profile shows, plus the 70,000-lumen Proteus Brutus LED wash. The Proteus Rayzor Blade, a combination linear wash and FX light, and Proteus Rayzor 1960, a compact yet powerful LED wash effects luminaire, will also be available to demo.

Elation's new Fuze MAX Profile full-color LED moving head has garnered a lot of attention since debuting at the Prolight+Sound show in April as has the new KL Panel XL, a bigger, brighter and bolder version of Elation's popular color temperature-adjustable, full-spectrum KL Panel LED soft light, the company says. Both will be available for close inspection as will the new KL Fresnel 6 FC, a full-color soft light in Elation's KL "Key Light" series.

The Elation/Entedi team looks forward to a great PLASA and welcomes lighting professionals to Stand E-14 for a closer look at these exciting innovations and more.

Proteus Brutus: The Proteus Brutus is a 70,000-lumen LED wash fixture with IP65 rating designed for piercing beam looks and high-intensity washes in any environment. A high efficiency 1,200W 6,500K white LED engine works with CMY color mixing, variable CTO and 6-position color wheel while a complete FX system features rotating gobos, animation, iris, and frost. An optional indexable framing module is also available. With a zoom range from 4° to 45° and an impressive 220mm front lens, the Proteus Brutus cuts through at great distances.

Proteus Excalibur: The Proteus Excalibur is an IP65 beam moving head set to assume the role as the new 21st Century searchlight, the company says. With extreme power (20,000 lumens), super narrow 0.8° beam (3.5° Expander Lens available), and wide front aperture, it excels at creating aerial light beams, throws of CMY color, and air FX rivaling Xenon searchlights. It houses a wide array of gobos (25), prism overlays (4- and 8-facet) and more. The Excalibur uses Philips' highly-efficient Flex lamp technology for long lamp life, lower power consumption and reduced fixture maintenance.

Proteus Rayzor Blade: The Proteus Rayzor Blade is a combination of linear wash, high-intensity strobe line and SparkLED FX inside a compact IP65 linear fixture design. Available with six or 12 independently controlled 60W RGBW LEDs, Proteus Rayzor Blade provides well-defined mid-air beams up to 12,500 lumens or exceptionally wide and even wash coverage. Two high-intensity strobe lines of cool white LED dots along with Elation's exclusive SparkLED effects add depth and visual impact. Wide zoom and dynamic tilt axis add to its visual flexibility.

Proteus Rayzor 1960: This compact yet extremely powerful LED wash effects luminaire with 5.6° to 44° zoom projects intense, well-defined mid-air beams, as well as an exceptionally wide and even wash coverage. Driven by 19 independently controlled 60W RGBW LEDs, the Proteus Rayzor 1960 provides a powerful beam (over 17,000 lumens) that stands out on any stage. The oversized front lenses create a large surface enhanced by Elation's SparkLED technology for a unique additional layer of effect. Continuous, speed-adjustable pan and tilt rotation adds another layer of dynamic effect from this versatile fixture.

Fuze MAX Profile: The Fuze MAX Profile is a 21,000-lumen full-spectrum LED framing fixture designed for theatre, television and a wide array of other precision lighting applications. It houses an 800W RGBMA LED engine (92 CRI) that rivals 1,000W/1,200W class discharge fixtures. It houses a full blackout framing system with four rotating blades and +/- 60° indexing. Useful wherever a wide chromatic spectrum (including dynamic whites) and outstanding quality is required, other features include a rotating gobo wheel, fixed gobo wheel, animation wheel, dual frost, prism, and iris in a quiet and extremely powerful automated framing fixture.

KL Panel XL: Designers have turned to Elation's color temperature-adjustable KL Panel™ full-color-spectrum LED soft light for livestreams and broadcasts of all types and now the company offers an XL version that extends the size of the original while emitting nearly twice the power and offering multi-zone control for dynamic effects. The new KL Panel XL soft light delivers superior output, precise color temperature control, full-spectrum color rendering and an even wash coverage. Optimized for the tunable white light requirements of broadcast, it is billed as an ideal soft light source for many situations requiring outstanding performance and color quality.

KL Fresnel 6 FC: The KL Fresnel 6 FC is a full-color soft light optimized for light critical and noise sensitive venues like broadcast and theatre. It is an ideal key and fill light source that projects a uniform wash of soft field light across the full color spectrum, including dynamic white light. It houses a highly efficient 220W RGBMA LED engine and produces up to 8,000 field lumens. A 10° to 32° zoom and 8-leaf barn doors allow for customized shaping of the beam.
