Pathway Connectivity Releases Pathscape v4.0

Pathway Connectivity's Pathscape v4.0

Pathway Connectivity announces the release of the latest version of their Pathscape configuration software. Pathscape v4.0 builds on the feature-packed tools that configures the full line of Pathway products -- now including the newly released eLink Protocol Converter and Router. It has a new look and feel with a refreshed menu structure, creating a streamlined user experience.

Pathway Connectivity is adding security to lighting systems and is now implementing features within their products so that systems stay safe and free from harmful and unauthorized access. Pathway ssACN (Secure sACN) is an extension of the Ethernet standard ANSI E1.31. ssACN allows a system using open and unsecure protocols the option of being authenticated so only authorized controllers are allowed to create DMX. Pathscape v4.0 gives users the ability to apply this security to all the Pathway products on the network. This is an important and very relevant tool to have within venues today, the company says.

Building towards a better user experience, the Wall Station View is billed as a practical and sleek feature that allows the ability to see and interact with Vignette and NSB wall stations. This new tab gives Pathscape users a view of Vignette's live state by displaying exact positions of the sliders, up/down state of buttons and color of LEDs. Using a laptop, users can conveniently configure and operate the entire network without running around the building to each installed wall station. Also included in this release is a host of features making this version worthy of a whole number, v4.0:

*Contact Closure interface setup for Pathports and eLink that easily connect DMX and RDM properties to third party systems
*Enhanced product icons create a more intuitive user interface
*Restructured menus to streamline workflow
*Virtual Console and Datascope support ssACN
*Vignette Playback Status
*Ability to Change Domain name
*Remove devices from Security Domains without needing a Factory Default
*Right-Click option on VIA ports for PoE Reset and Pathway device identity

"We have been so excited to talk to our customers and listen to their feedback about features and their unique user experiences with Pathscape. Version 4 is the culmination of a great deal of work that has been done almost exclusively by our team while working at home. We stand united with our friends in the Entertainment Industry and look forward to getting back on stage ASAP," says Robert Bell, Pathway's director of product innovation.

These new features and changes come simultaneously with a firmware update -- v6.0 -- which comes packaged with this installer. To take advantage of all Pathscape 4 has to offer, all Pathway products should be updated to v6.0. The macOS and Windows Install packages are available for download now.

A full list of the new features, changes, and bug fixes can be found in the Release Notes on Pathway's website (see the link below).
