Profile:
Luce Group (WBE in NYC and NY State) specializes in exhibit, event, architectural, and entertainment lighting design. Our work, which has been called “superb” by the Boston Globe, ranges from an award winning gallery at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, to colorful, cued environments in major science centers, to renovations of historic homes and buildings, to traditional art galleries.

Trained in theatrical design, we bring a creative and collaborative approach to all our projects. Our team can design conventionally, but can also blur the traditional boundaries of theater, live event, media, architecture, and exhibition. All Luce team members are collaborative, responsive and have worked hand in hand with exhibit, video, and sound designers to create seamless environments.

Sustainable design is at the forefront of every decision we make. We are constantly seeking out the latest in technology and energy efficiency and, conversely, have been sought out by manufacturers to help guide the development of their new equipment. Our team is hands-on throughout the design and installation process, so that every project functions smoothly, exceeds aesthetic requirements, meets budget and schedule, and takes into account sustainability and maintenance.

Recent Projects:
Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, Washington, DC Expected opening November 2015. The Fairmount Waterworks Interpretive Center, Philadelphia, PA Selected gallery openings 2014 - 2016.

Accreditations:
Certified Women Owned Business in New York City and New York State. GSA Contract SIN 541 4C. Winning Team, International Association of Art Critic’s (USA) Annual Arts Award 2011, best Architecture/Design Show, Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum's Color Moves: Art and Fashion by Sonia Delaunay. 2010 IES DC Section Guth Award, Moving Beyond Earth, Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum.
