Profile:
UCONN's Dramatic Arts Department offers BFA degrees in Design/Technical Theatre, Acting, and Puppet Arts and a BA in Theatre Studies. MFA programs in Scenic Design, Costume Design, Lighting Design, Technical Direction, Acting, and Puppet Arts. Its MFA programs in performance and design/tech are rated among the top six by U/RTA. CRT's Main Stage Series productions are held in the proscenium-stage theatre or the thrust-stage theatre and Studio Works Series in the Studio Theatre. CRT has also produced up to three musicals in the Nutmeg summer series and conducts community and campus educational events.
