Sound Associates, Inc.

424 West 45th Street, New York, NY 10036, USA

Mark Annunziato, Vice President, Engineering and Operations
Steve Harris, Director, Sales and Operations

Sound Associates has been a leader in the field of assistive listening systems since 1979, when the first infrared system was installed in a Broadway theatre. It was so well received that a system has since been installed in every Broadway theatre, as well thousands of other theatres, movie houses, public meeting rooms and houses of worship. An Infrared Listening System transmits an audio signal via infrared light, which is invisible to the naked eye, to wireless receivers. The Infrared Listening System is not only useful as an assistive listening tool, but for language translation and audio description as well.

Recent Projects:
Ulster County Performing Arts Center, New York Dodger Stages, Worldwide Plaza, New York The Wilshire Theatre in Los Angeles The Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles

Sound Associates won a Special Tony Award for its efforts to enhance the theatrical experience for the hearing impaired community.
