KM Fabrics Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary

KM Fabrics, a velvet manufacturer that operates out of the historic Brandon Mill community in West Greenville, South Carolina, is celebrating its 40th anniversary in March 2019.

As a successful American textile company, KM Fabrics stands out as a connection between upstate South Carolina's past and its future as a thriving manufacturing center. KM Fabrics manufactures its velvet and velour products in its Greenville factory, and sells them through distributors worldwide. KM Fabrics takes pride in the fact that all of its products are made in the USA. The company has recently invested millions of dollars in new manufacturing equipment and processes to improve quality, productivity, efficiency, automation, and cost.

KM Fabrics creates high-end woven velvets used in drapery, upholstery, and other specialty applications in some of the most prestigious settings worldwide. KM Fabrics have been found at:

* The Academy Awards
* The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
* Dolby Theatre - Hollywood
* Carnegie Hall -- New York
* Lincoln Center -- New York
* Cirque du Soleil
* Fox Theatre - Atlanta

KM Fabrics are also found in many upstate South Carolina theaters, including Greenville's Peace Center, Bob Jones University, Clemson University's Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, Old Main at Wofford College, and Spartanburg's Chapman Cultural Center.

KM Fabrics' deep connection to Greenville and the theater community runs far deeper than these venues. The company donated eight acres to the county for the Shoeless Joe Jackson Memorial Park, which celebrates the legendary baseball player who worked and played at Brandon Mill. KM Fabrics awards a Technical Production scholarship annually at the United States Institute for Theater Technology (USITT) conference.

The company will host an anniversary celebration for its employees at Shoeless Joe Jackson Memorial Park on Saturday, March 2.
