Lightfactor Marks a Busy PLASA 2012

Lightfactor's Peter Coles with Julian Wedemeyer and Hendrik Geisler from Soundlight.de

UK professional lighting sales company Lightfactor enjoyed a busy PLASA 2012 exhibition at Earls Court in London, with lots of activity on the stand and plenty of interest in key product ranges.

Says Lightfactor's Peter Coles, "It was another good show for us. Lightfactor specializes in offering a variety of different high quality products, and there is definitely a market demand right now for 'quality.' Other than that, we saw many existing and a good selection of potential new customers."

Lightfactor chose the show to launch its new exclusive distribution partnership with soundlight.de, German manufacturers of a whole range of neat and handy DMX tools. Attendees were impressed with the RDM and systems relay widgets in particular.

In their stand, Lightfactor also showed Italian lighting manufacturer DTS, including the new Scena F (Fresnel) or PC (pebble convex) LED wash light among many others. This innovative product features a fully automated zoom, uses a 120W LED chipset, and is controllable via DMX or in stand-alone mode from its on-board memory.

The DTS Jack Spot was also shown at PLASA. The Jack Spot is a lightweight moving head with a motorized zoom offering tight beam projection to wide washing of up to 46 degrees. It's very bright utilizing only an 189W lamp, but with around 230W of power consumption, also a real low-energy solution.

LDR is another Italian brand that was on display in the Lightfactor stand. LDR is strong in theatre installation and architectural environments. The popular products at PLASA included the new Alba LED profile, a 200W equivalent fixture with excellent tungsten emulation and dimming right down to 0%. Also at the show from LDR were their range of follow spots and color scrollers.

Additionally featured on the stand were assorted Cooper Control products plus the latest LED fixtures from UK lighting manufacturer Cogent, including a new range of down-lighters with full theatrical grade dimming.
