GDS World Tour Continues

Benny Kuan, Raymond Yong, Kelvin Tee, Andy Chang (Desisti), Stephen Ellison (Sea Changer), KL Lam (Desisti), and Matt Lloyd (GDS) at the House of Worship Technologies show.

As the exhibition season draws to a close, UK manufacturer GDS reports great success in the concluding stages of its 2012 international trade show tour.

GDS recently returned from the Singapore leg of its tour where the team exhibited alongside distributor Desisti Asia at the Houses of Worship Technologies show, Asia's first dedicated exhibition and conference specifically for this market. In addition to its new dedicated exhibition, the show makes up part of the PALME Asia series of exhibitions.

Managing director Matt Lloyd visited the show and noted: "South-East Asia is a very important market for GDS. This area has one of the fastest growing numbers of worship places in the world and with the help of our distribution network we have already established a good foot-hold in this territory. We felt it was imperative to support Desisti at this inaugural show."

He continued: "We had a hugely successful show and as a result Desisti continues to grow all of the GDS brands within the Singapore and South-East Asian Market. It has achieved particular success with SMConsole bespoke stage managers desk, BluesSystem working lights, LiteWare wireless battery uplighters, and CueSystem cue light system. There is also a lot of interest in the new ArcSystem from both the houses of worship and existing theatre markets."

As GDS celebrates its eighth year, the UK-based manufacturer says it has become a global company, having established an international sales and distribution network in over 40 countries. With seven market-leading brands, according to the company, GDS continues to innovate in the entertainment, architectural, television, and corporate markets with flexible solutions that have this year found their way from Broadway to the West End and from Cirque De Soleil to the Olympics.

The GDS team went on from Asia to conclude this year's international trade show run at LDI in Las Vegas, Nevada with its North American distributor A.C.T Lighting.

Chris Patton, GDS international sales manager for the Americas region reported: "LDI 2012 was our most successful US trade show to date. GDS is now firmly on the map in the region and news of our industry leading LED house lighting solution, ArcSystem, prompted many visitors to the GDS area of the A.C.T Lighting booth at the show."
