URSA Announce Tracker Pouch Made for zactrack at PLASA London 2025

(l-r) Paul Roch and Simon Bysshe

In 2025, URSA celebrates ten years of trading with its body worn technology specifically designed to address the unique needs of theatre. The Tracker Pouch is an integral part of the range and was developed in collaboration with key zactrack team members.

Based in Austria, zactrack develops automated tracking solutions for a wide range of applications. Its mini, SMART, and PRO product lines provide precise tracking for lighting, audio, video, and camera systems. Outputting data in familiar formats such as DMX, OSC, and PSN, zactrack is said to ensure pinpoint accuracy with low-latency performance across all major network protocols.

The Tracker Pouches are made for all zactrack trackers and are sold in packs of five and designed to be easily attached to costumes and clothing. The range was developed to make ideal placement of locators even easier. Created with high-grade mesh fabric, the Tracker Pouches benefit from four-way stretch, a generous seam allowance and strong brass popper closure. Once in the pouch, locators can be easily fixed or clipped in exactly the right place on clothing during rehearsals without requiring additional belts or straps. The fabric is robust, so pouches can be removed and replaced, enabling repeated use across multiple productions or performers.

Paul Roch, managing director of zactrack, met with URSA founder Simon Bysshe at PLASA 2025, where they were excited to see visitors immediately appreciating the results of their work.

"Correct positioning of a zactrack tracker to a performer's costume is very important, not just for getting a steady signal, but also for keeping the performer comfortable on stage. Our work with URSA is going to make it even easier to get the very best out of our systems. The new Tracker Pouches can be easily sewn into costumes or accessories, which makes things a lot simpler for costume designers," Roch elaborates.

As Bysshe concludes, by developing and maintaining strong industry relationships, URSA can continue to design reliable solutions for any application.

"Working with zactrack to produce our Tracker Pouch has been a very rewarding experience," he says. "The early reaction to the whole range of products from the visitors to PLASA and the wider industry has made the leap of faith completely worth it. We can't wait to see the pouches popping up on stages across the country!"

Tracker Pouches are now available to purchase directly from the URSA Website here.
