David Agress Specifies Ayrton MagicBlade-R for New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall

New York Spring Spectacular

Award-winning lighting designer David Agress selected Ayrton MagicBlade-R LED luminaires in his design for the newly created live theatrical production New York Spring Spectacular. The stage show features the Rockettes and is scheduled to run through May 7th at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

In his role as lighting director for Radio City Entertainment, Agress says: "I originally intended to feature the MagicBlade-R units as high-energy background effect fixtures in two production numbers -- and they performed beautifully and reliably. The big bonus for me, however, was that even when they were flown out to their storage position (42' above the stage) they were so powerful, and the color so consistent and rich, that I was able to use them as backlight for the Rockettes as well as for illuminating scenic pieces throughout the show."

Already a success with television and rock-and-roll designers, MagicBlade-R features seven Osram Ostar 15W RGBW emitters coupled with proprietary 67mm collimator optics that project tight 4.5-degree beams. The distinctive seven-in-a-row configuration is fully pixel-mappable and features continuous unlimited rotation on both the pan and tilt axes.

Las Vegas-based Morpheus Lights is the exclusive distributor of Ayrton products in the United States. Morpheus also provides concert touring systems and personnel, B-to-B equipment rental, and lighting services for the Las Vegas market.
