Major PreSonus Sphere Update Adds Powerful Community Feature

PreSonus Sphere's new Community feature allows members to connect so they can discuss their favorite audio topics with other enthusiasts.

PreSonus has released a major update to its PreSonus Sphere membership plan, which already includes licenses for award-winning Studio One Professional, Notion, and more. PreSonus Sphere's new Community feature allows members to connect so they can discuss their favorite audio topics with other enthusiasts; share new mixes to get feedback, get advice on the concept art for their next digital release, and more; and even find other PreSonus Sphere members and share a Workspace with them to begin collaborating.

The Community is completely optional for PreSonus Sphere members. Any member who participates in the Community begins by creating a public profile that only PreSonus Sphere members can see. Community members can add a photo, unique cover art, and audio examples of your productions. The public profile also includes a selection of Skills you wish to highlight, such as Arranging, Audio Editing, Composition, Mastering, Mixing, instruments you play, and more. The Skills define default Channels and help other members connect. For example, if users are looking for feedback on a new mix, they probably want to post in the Mix Channel, where all the mix engineers are hanging out. Users can tag multiple Channels for their post as well.

When users create a post, they can add text and attach images, videos, audio files, or all three. Other members can like your post, add comments, and ask to connect with them. Go directly from the Community to collaborating on a project in Workspaces immediately.

Connecting with other PreSonus Sphere members is easy, the company says. Browse public posts, search by name or email, or browse a Skill in the Connect area to find someone with the skill you need (say, a session musician or mastering engineer); then invite them to connect.

From the beginning, PreSonus Sphere has provided access to an extensive library of creative software tools, including every Studio One and Notion add-on and plug-in that PreSonus makes, plus Cloud collaboration tools and storage, chat with PreSonus software experts from around the globe, exclusive promotions, extensive video training, and events -- all for a low monthly or annual membership. With the addition of the new Community feature, PreSonus Sphere has taken another major step in creating a true global online community of musicians, audio engineers, and music producers, the company says.
