D.A.S. Audio Announces Event Series Line Array

D.A.S. Audio Event 210A line array loudspeaker.

D.A.S. Audio announces the introduction of a new series of line array systems called the Event Series, aimed at small to medium level sound reinforcement requirements. Ideal for use in both permanent installations as well as in mobile systems, the new series comprises three models, two line arrays and a companion bass system.

The Event Series line arrays include two models, the Event 208A and the Event 210A. Both are three-way powered line arrays in double 8" and double 10" configurations respectively. The D.A.S. loudspeaker units have been teamed up with a single M-75 compression driver and purpose-designed injected aluminum high frequency waveguide. Both Event line arrays are powered by a three-channel Class D amplifier which provides 360W per channel. The amp's rear panel includes Neutrik XLR and powerCON connectors, status LEDS to facilitate setup and D.A.S.'s Easy-DSP interface which simplifies preset selection for the number of units and throw depth.

The Event Series includes a twin 18" companion subwoofer which makes use of D.A.S. LX series long-excursion loudspeakers for solid bass response. Designed for optimum coupling with the Event 208A and Event 210A tops, the front-loaded system is powered by an efficient 3,600W Class D amplifier and achieves a rated maximum peak SPL of 140dB. The amplifier has a cardioid preset-mode switch which offers specific signal treatment for easy set-up of pairs of systems in cardioid subwoofer applications. The system includes two balanced inputs (A-B) with stereo filtered output connections for satellite systems. The variable crossover ranges from 100Hz-160Hz and can be defeated to offer stereo "loop thru" connections. A gain control and polarity reverse feature increase user control over the system.

All units boast professional grade Baltic birch plywood construction and are finished using the tough D.A.S. ISO-flex paint for durability. Steel rigging hardware is included on the line arrays systems and allows for safe and precise flying. A convenient pin storage receptacle keep pins from getting lost. Amplifiers are protected from the elements by means of an effective protective cover. A range of useful accessories augment the possibilities of the systems allowing them to be used on stand mounts or safely stacked on subwoofers. Transport dollies and protective covers are available for all models.

Hear the new Event Series live during the NAMM show at the Venue stage outside the arena. D.A.S. will exhibit in booth 7101 [Arena].
