Acclaimed Industrial Hygienist to Speak at the North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference

The NATEAC (North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference) organizers are happy to welcome Monona Rossol as a presenter for the upcoming conference. Rossol's session, "Stage and House Ventilation; Keeping Actors Alive and Patrons Awake," will offer current and relevant content regarding protecting performers, technicians, and audience members from hazardous airborne contaminants in the theatre. The session will cover various SFX air contaminants, predicted levels of exposure when known, existing standards for these air contaminants, relevant lawsuits, and propose ventilation system solutions.

"Monona's passion for the subject matter is astonishing," noted conference director Bill Sapsis. "She is well-known for her clear, concise, and 'take no prisoner' approach to ensuring safety in the theatre. Monona is a world-renowned ventilation and chemical safety consultant. She has written nine books on health and safety in the theatre and has founded Art, Crafts, and Theatre Safety. Monona has dedicated her career to ensuring the venues are safe for performers and patrons. Honestly, she is an inspiration. You do not want to miss this session."

Please visit www.nateac.org for more information on all of the NATEAC sessions, including Rossol's.
