Mountainside Productions Expands EAW Inventory With RADIUS

Mountainside Productions Services, Inc., located in Palisade, Colorado, recently added an Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) RADIUS system to their growing inventory of EAW gear. Company owner Morgan Riddell has been a long-time supporter of EAW dating back to when he started out in the business many years ago.

"I have been a fan and user of EAW for many years," Riddell explains. "When I struck out on my own in 2000 and started Mountainside Productions, I quickly became a dealer. I have and continue to be so impressed with the quality, innovation, and support that the company delivers to its customers."

Riddell's RADIUS system is made up of 16 RSX208L 3-way line array modules along with two RSX12 and another eight RSX18 subwoofers. In addition to RADIUS, Riddell has a full KF730/740 rig made up of 30 KF730, 24 KF740, 24 SB1000, and 24 SB528s. He decided to add the RADIUS system to replace a system he had been using for smaller events that was not as flexible as clients required.

"The RADIUS system is powered, has Dante inputs and the Mosaic app has a smooth interface," he explains. "Technicians have a pretty easy time with it. It is an exceptional system for what I need and it is far and above other products at a similar price point. I have been extremely pleased with this purchase."

This past summer Riddell put the new RADIUS system to use for many events held at the Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colorado. If the act required a larger system, Riddell used his KF system along with RADIUS for stage left and right out fills. "If you use the 740 voicing for RADIUS they blend seamlessly together," Riddell notes.

He continues, "RADIUS fills a niche for me -- when a customer doesn't have the budget or need for a bigger sound system, I use RADIUS and they are very happy. Some larger arrays need 8-10 boxes to sound good. With RADIUS you don't need as much, and the sound is fantastic."
