Mountain Productions announces a newly launched North American distributorship with UK-based Limpet Technology. Limpet Height Safety Systems represent the world's first entertainment-specific, intelligent fall protection technology, and an exciting addition to the company's expanding line of rigging products. This award-winning line incorporates multifaceted, fully-integrated features, such as intelligent climb assist, proactive fall prevention, active motion technology, personnel power lifting, rapid remote rescue, and evacuation.

The Limpet's intuitive design enables easy installation onto a frame or truss in virtually any orientation. The safety line can be routed through multiple pulleys to deploy a lift point to its designated location. With an available 427' of work line, the Limpet offers tremendous flexibility, regardless of the complexity of the user's production. The company says its ability to multi-task, coupled with a 25 year lifespan, makes the Limpet an indispensable safety solution.

The 90% climb assist feature results in nearly all exertion being removed from a climb, making the trip up much more comfortable, with considerably less effort expended. Users are weighed as soon as they clip in, and the Limpet does the rest by applying a pull equal to 90% of the individual's weight. Constant tension on the safety line prevents falls from developing momentum, locking the line within half an inch of a fall. The Limpet can hoist up to 308 lb at 1.6 ft/sec, while lowering two people (up to 616 lb) in an emergency descent.
