Upstage Video Celebrates 15 Years with a New Name, New Capabilities, and Company Growth

Upstage Video, video rental systems provider, announced today that they are expanding to include professional lighting, audio services, and event staging. The company that has specialized in live video support for TV broadcasts, touring, concerts and festivals, sporting events and corporate presentations, as well as permanent video integrations since 2005, is rebranding as ChoiceLIVE!

During the rebranding process, the team asked themselves the same intentional question as when Upstage Video originated: "What do we want this name to say about our company?" In an environment of consolidations, where large corporations seem to rule the market by default, this small-but-mighty company (whose former tag line boasts being "better, not bigger") wants buyers to know that they do have a choice.

"As one brilliant spokesperson once said, 'Choice is everything,'" remarks Doug Murray, ChoiceLIVE president. "As we move away from specialty into 'everything,' we thought it was a great fit -- 'ChoiceLIVE: Choice is Everything.'"

Last year, Upstage Video realized it was time to leverage its video systems expertise to the full production category and focus heavily on incorporating lighting, audio, and event staging into its portfolio. "Client demand has compelled us to broaden our offerings to help our partners successfully navigate the always-changing landscape of event technology," says Murray. "In the past 15 years, we've developed a team of pros and, with some key personnel additions, ChoiceLIVE will go further in delivering the finest live event experiences for our clients."

ChoiceLIVE also announces and welcomes Sim Elwood as VP of project management and Clayton Jacoby as VP of continuous improvement to their Lititz office.

On the West coast, Terry Broadbent has joined their Los Angeles office as senior director of sales and client development.

Elwood has been in the audio-visual industry for over 30 years. A graduate of Purdue University, he spent more than 15 years as a video technician, director, and engineer before transitioning to operations in 2003. After positions at Lakeshore AV and PRG Chicago, Elwood spent the last ten years as the general manager of Creative Technology.

Jacoby will be responsible for developing new processes and procedures to cultivate and advance ChoiceLIVE's operations at both east and west coast locations. He brings an extensive operations background from various roles, including navigating operations and company relocation at ROE, executing global processes and continuous improvement initiatives at VER, and managing the audio-visual department at multiple high-end hotels around the US.

Broadbent comes to the company with more than three decades of creative meeting and event staging design and sales. At ChoiceLIVE, Broadbent will be responsible for expanding the company's Los Angeles presence by developing strategic partnerships and production opportunities in the corporate meeting and event staging markets. Broadbent spent the last three years as a national account executive at Encore Global Production Group. Before that, he was with PSAV Global Sales, servicing national clients with event technology and production services.

"We are excited to welcome Sim, Clayton, and Terry as we continue to expand our offices, product offerings, and services to better serve our client base," says Murray. "Their impressive skill sets and passion for delivering best-in-class experiences to live events are an ideal fit within ChoiceLIVE's core values and future success."
