Matrox Merges Two Divisions, Introduces New Matrox Video

Matrox announces that it has merged its video division, a leader in broadcast technology, and its graphics division, a pioneer in AV/IT technology, under the Matrox Video brand. The merger creates a premium provider of video technologies for the AV/IT, broadcast, and other professional markets requiring video capture, processing, encoding, streaming, recording, decoding, extension, switching, visualization, and control.

As the world moves towards IP, the corporate merger will allow the new company to leverage and harness the synergies between the two divisions to meet today's evolving video needs. As a result, customers in AV/IT, broadcast and media, control rooms, live events, and a variety of other markets will benefit from the world's most complete portfolio of broadcast developer products, encoders and decoders, IP KVM extenders, video wall technologies, and more. Matrox Video remains committed to delivering best-in-class products, developer technologies, and superior support to its network of customers, suppliers, and partners.

"Since our leadership announcement last September, Matrox has kept its promise of continued and accelerated growth in all areas of product and corporate development," said Lorne Trottier, president and owner at Matrox. "This is in large part due to the seamless consolidation of both divisions' technical experience and expertise, as well as our company's relentless pursuit of innovative solutions to help solve real-world problems."

"This merger brings together two of the very best from their respective industries to form what we now refer to as the new Matrox Video 2.0," said Alberto Cieri, senior VP of sales and marketing, Matrox Video. "This initiative puts us in a unique position to champion new products and technologies for every video requirement and engage in new opportunities for both current and emerging markets. We're excited about what the future holds."

To reflect its new identity and vision, Matrox Video has launched a new website. For details, visit the URL below.
