Powersoft Captures Star Product Award for its M-Force Loudspeaker Technology at InstallAwards 2015

Powersoft's M-Force, a moving magnet linear motor transducer, used in low frequency applications

Powersoft, a manufacturer of professional power amplifiers and loudspeaker technology, was recognized with the Star Product Award at the InstallAwards 2015 last week for its M-Force technology, which played a key role in a massive subwoofer installation at the Avalon Hollywood nightclub earlier this year. The award was accepted by Luca Giorgi, marketing and sales director, and Francesco Fanicchi, head of brand and communications, both of Powersoft, during a ceremony held at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in Central London.

The InstallAwards is a global platform that recognizes excellence in the audio, video, and lighting systems integration markets. The Star Product award was presented in recognition of Powersoft's unique M-Force technology, which enabled Avalon Hollywood owner and audio expert John Lyons to revitalize the venue's sound system and realize unprecedented low frequency performance. The system, which was unveiled during Grammy Weekend at the historic Hollywood venue last February, is the world's largest subwoofer club installation ever.

"Powersoft is grateful to be recognized by its peers for M-Force, a truly unique and innovative technology," said Fanicchi. "This is a strong testament to the passion and hard work of our engineers, who continually raise the bar and push the market forward."

"We would like to thank the InstallAwards for recognizing Powersoft's latest contribution to market innovation in the touring and installation markets," added Giorgi. "We believe that M-Force represents the future of transducer technology, particularly in subwoofers for high-power applications."

Powersoft worked with Lyons and speaker maker EAW for two years perfecting a cabinet that could incorporate a 40" Powersoft cone and Powersoft's patented M-Force moving magnet linear motor technology, which enables air movement with faster response time than ever before and completely eliminates power compression. The result is low-end reproduction that was previously unattainable, which Lyons describes as "earth-shattering sub bass."
