Key to Light -- LightLab at Stage | Set | Scenery

Stage | Set | Scenery 2015 -- Opening of the International Symposium -- Mario Radicke, technical director, Staatsoperette Dresden and Lutz Hoffman, technical manager, Theater der Jungen Generationen.

From June 20 - 22, 2017, Stage I Set I Scenery in Berlin will be the meeting place for manufacturers, lighting designers, and lighting engineers. State-of-the-art lighting systems for the stage, events, shows, and studios will be on display in the halls on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Spotlights, lighting effects, LED lighting, laser technology, lighting control systems, dimmers, lighting systems, lighting installations, and lighting for buildings -- this is where trade visitors will be able to find leading international companies and an outstanding program of supporting events.

For the first time, trade visitors will be able to discuss the latest lighting topics -- concerning the theatre, film, and events -- and gain practical information on everyday professional use from workshops, round tables, and live product demonstrations in the 200sqm LightLab in Hall 20. The LightLab concept was co-developed by Deutsche Theatertechnische Gesellschaft e.V. (DTHG) and xEMP extra Entertainment Media Publishing oHG.

The LightLab is curated by Manfred "Ollie" Olma, proprietor of mo2 design, an internationally recognized consultancy for lighting and media design. "The slogan of the program at the LightLab 2017 is 'Key to Light'," as Olma explained. "In the LightLab I want to offer an insight into applications as well as the development of the latest innovative lighting and video control systems, which in my view are the key to every successful production, and I would like to share and discuss my experiences with trade visitors."

A guided tour on all three days of the show will round off the program of lighting and lighting design events and take trade visitors to selected exhibitors' stands in Hall 20. Lighting designers and lighting engineers will be able to meet manufacturers and try out products directly on those companies' stands.
