Nashville Lights Up for Independence Day with Bandit Lites

"Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th" celebration in Nashville, Tennessee

Hundreds of thousands of people chose downtown Nashville to celebrate the Fourth of July as Broadway was transformed in a free concert event during "Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th" celebration. Bandit Lites provided lighting for two stages. The main stage on Broadway featured a headlining show from Old Dominion as well as 17 Nashville based artists performances as well as the Ascend Amphitheater where the Nashville Symphony Orchestra accompanied the largest firework show in Nashville's history.

40,000 pounds of explosives and 200 miles of wire became the longest firework show in the city's history when the display hit 31 minutes and 30 seconds.

Production manager Chris Lisle entrusted Bandit Lites to supply the Broadway stage with more than 120 fixtures including Chauvet Rogue R2 Beams, Elation CuePix WW4 Blinders, Martin MAC Viper Profiles, and Solaris Flares. Sam Morgan, Carter Hopkins, and Jemma Detwiler strove to ensure the stage was fully operational even in the summer heat.

An additional 120 fixtures outfitted the Ascend Amphitheater including Chauvet Maverick MK3 Spots, Chauvet Rouge R2X Washes, Elation CuePix WW2, and GLP JDC1 LED Strobes. Bandit's team consisted of Ty Veneziano, Tim Keller, and Ben Boney, whose commitment to excellence guaranteed the audience, both in person and watching at home, a stellar light show.

"Once again Chris Lisle and Mark Anderson pulled off another flawless July 4th celebration with help from long time production managers Todd Ortmeier and Mark Miles overseeing the two stages," said Bandit Lites vice president Mike Golden. "The weather held out and the event was a huge success. Bandit has been working with the city and this team for many years now and we look forward to many more."

"As always, Bandit delivered top-notch service across multiple stages, all while we were in the midst of a heat wave," says Lisle. "The crew and gear all held up fantastic through it all."
