J.R. Clancy Licenses Front-Loading Arbor, Arbor Trap, and SuperArbor

Mike Murphy, J.R. Clany, and Rick Boychuk, Grid Well Inc.

Grid Well Inc. (GWI) announces that J.R. Clancy has signed a license agreement for the manufacture and sale of its patented Front-Loading Arbor, its patent pending safety device the Arbor Trap, and the SuperArbor.

J.R. Clancy is one of the largest manufacturers of stage rigging equipment in the world. By licensing the Front-Loading Arbor and Trap, Clancy takes the lead in the first major retooling of counterweight rigging in over 100 years.

Since 1885, J.R. Clancy has supported innovation in rigging technology. Company founder John Clancy was a designer of stage equipment. Being a stagehand himself, he knew how important safety, creativity, and reliability were backstage. Not only did Clancy patent his own ideas, his company produced and marketed product patented by others. His main concerns were to build a highly reputable business while improving the way stagehands did their work; he embraced good ideas because they were good ideas.

Patrick Finn, product manager at J.R. Clancy, had this to say: "Safety awareness has been growing rapidly in our industry and the front loading arbor is a great option to improve both safety and ergonomics. We are looking forward to more innovations that make what we do easier and safer."

"I am very pleased to be working with the Clancy team," states GWI president Rick Boychuk. "Mike Murphy, president of JR Clancy, and I agree that safety is the top priority. The Front Loading Arbor and the Arbor Trap raise the bar on safety."
