PLASA Events Announces the Cancellation of Focus: Austin in September and Return to Orlando in February 2015

PLASA Events announces it has made the difficult decision to cancel PLASA Focus: Austin, which was due to take place September 9 - 10, 2014. Despite previous success in this location there has been insufficient support for a third visit to Austin in as many years. As a result, PLASA Events felt it would not be able to deliver the high quality experience their exhibitors and attendees have come to expect from the Focus series. Despite this disappointing news, PLASA Focus has enjoyed a great year with the success of the biennial return to Nashville in February and the well-received launch of the brand new Focus location of Baltimore in May.

Looking forward to 2015, PLASA Events announces the PLASA Focus show series will hit the sunshine state once again, bringing the world's latest entertainment technology to Orlando on Tuesday February 17th and Wednesday February 18th, 2015 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel.

Companies already signed up to exhibit at Focus: Orlando 2015 include: The Light Source, GLP, Ushio, Altman, Chauvet Professional, TMB, Barbizon, Elation Professional, Harrington Hoist, Group One, Ultratec, and A.C.T Lighting. With many other applications currently being processed, interested companies are encouraged to move quickly to secure their preferred booth location.

The free-to-attend show will play host to Florida's most talented production professionals and features game-changing technology, world-class speakers, live product demos, free training sessions, and valuable networking opportunities unique to the PLASA Focus regional series.

Running alongside the exhibition is the Orlando edition of PLASA Focus' highly regarded and free to attend Professional Development Program (PDP). The PDP is a two-day program of educational sessions designed to give behind-the-scenes access to the region's most creatively ambitious and technically challenging projects.

Exhibitors can expect to enjoy great ROI with the unique hard-wall booth package, including: material handling, power, lighting, carpet, and furniture -- so that each exhibitor enjoys a level playing field and a hassle-free, affordable exhibiting experience. "Even better, PLASA members, regional dealers, regional production companies, and multiple Focus series exhibitors can enjoy substantially discounted space at all PLASA Focus events," added PLASA director of events Christopher Toulmin.

The Focus: Orlando website and registration will be open soon at www.plasafocus.com.
