sound:check Xpo 2017: Good News in Mexico City

2017 is the year when one of the most important event for the show business in Mexico and Latin America is in its 15th anniversary. sound:check Xpo is coming April 23 - 25, sharing the latest tendencies in today's shows.

For those who have not had the opportunity to attend this event in any of the previous editions, there will be more than 12,000sqm of exhibition of more than 260 brands of audio, lighting, projection of visual content and scenarios, always in the professional scope of stage production. And, in addition to the exhibition floor, the demo rooms will put in direct contact with the brands with the end users to know firsthand the advantages that technology offers in the production of first world shows.

As is tradition, sound: check Xpo will provide the opportunity to strengthen business relationships, establish contact with potential customers, expand distribution channels, generate sales, and create strategic alliances, but also and as a healthy custom, the event will offer a technical and professionalization training area. One of them is the annual Audio Engineering Society Mexico Conference (AES), which in a major effort will bring to Mexico great figures in international audio, such as John Meyer (co-founder of Meyer Sound), Ken Scott (producer, The Beatles Elton John, Pink Floyd, Duran Duran), David Bottrill (producer, Peter Gabriel, Tool), Eduardo Vaisman (video game designer), Vance Powell (producer, mix engineer of Jack White, The Raconteurs), Alex Case (president of AES International and associate professor in audio recording technology, University of Massachusetts Lowell), Andrés Mayo (Andres Mayo Audio Post), in high-level sessions that will cover all kinds of audio topics, and Sylvia Massy (producer and engineer, System of a Down, Johnny Cash, Prince).

The stage lighting is a subject of accelerated growth in Latin American industry and this is how LDI will be present in sound: check Xpo with Training LDI: Mexico, while one of the most important figures in music will teach the master class called: "Sex, Drums, Rock 'n' Roll." This is the drummer Kenny Aronoff, with a discography of more than 200 albums by artists such as The Rolling Stones, John Fogerty, and Santana. On the other hand, the guitarist Lee Ritenour will give a master class where he'll talk about his long and successful career with more than 40 albums, and finally, Pedro Aznar, the Argentine musician, composer, arranger, singer, and producer will give the master class where he'll share his experiences in music industry.

In the artistic presence, very important in sound: check Xpo, this year the event will have an extraordinary exhibition of the Mexican sculptor Sebastian, who in all his artistic creations reflects his passion for mathematics and geometry.
