Musson Theatrical Helps Revive the Frost

Musson Theatrical, an entertainment technology supplier based in California's Silicon Valley, announces the completion of the Frost Amphitheatre at Stanford University in California.

Frost Amphitheatre, situated right next to Bing Concert Hall, is a historic concert venue which opened in 1937 that holds up to 8,000 people. In recent years, the facility had fallen to disuse due to its age and lack of modern amenities. This once vibrant facility has now roared back to life with a robust concert season lineup.

"This was a ground-up reconstruction project with a permanent shed roof, backstage support facilities, loading dock and modernized load-line. Full handicapped accessibility to the stage and seating area were also incorporated into existing facilities," says Musson project manager, Michael Howden. "Musson provided ETC power control and distribution, data distribution, and architectural lighting control systems that integrate with grounds lighting control. Fisher Dachs Associates was the theatrical consultant, and we were happy to collaborate with the same Stanford project team as we worked with on Bing Concert Hall and The Anderson Collection. These projects represent the bulk of the 'Stanford Arts District' expansion but are only a portion of Musson's work for The Cardinal over the past decade."
