Philips Brings Find Your Light Campaign Back to USITT

Philips Selecon PL Profile 1 LED luminaire

Philips Strand Lighting and Philips Selecon announce Find Your Light at USITT, running March 21-23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Building upon the success of last year's event, where two lucky winners went home with PLCyc LED luminaires, this year's winners will each receive one of the newest members to the PL family, the PLProfile1 LED luminaire, the latest in theatrical LED innovation from Philips Strand Lighting and Philips Selecon.

"We are very excited to once again be conducting the Find Your Light campaign at USITT," said Pete Borchetta, Philips Strand Lighting product marketing manager. "Last year we had a tremendous number of participants who really enjoyed playing the game, so this year we decided to enhance the game just a bit. Since the show draws a number of college theatre students who thrive on the latest in theatrical lighting technology and social media, we decided to combine the two."

Find Your Light will take place on Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22, at USITT. During the first six tradeshow floor hours, Philips Strand Lighting will be announcing clues via its Facebook and Twitter pages. One clue will be released per hour, and each clue will pertain to one USITT exhibitor and one Philips Strand Lighting or Philips Selecon product inside the exhibitor's booth. Participants must then find the correct exhibitor and the correct product and upload a photo of themselves with the product to the Strand Facebook timeline or tweet it at the Strand Twitter page. Once participants have uploaded all six photos to either the Strand Facebook or Twitter page and returned to the Strand Lighting booth to verify their photos are correct, they will be entered into the daily drawing for PLProfile1 LED luminaire. Separate drawings will take place on March 21 and March 22. Visit www.strandlighting.com or stop by booth 920 for complete details.

Also at USITT, Philips Strand Lighting and Philips Selecon will be showcasing a number of theatrical LED luminaires and control systems all featuring full on-hands control through interactive touchscreens.

On the brink of celebrating a century of lighting innovation, Philips Strand Lighting will be controlling all the products inside the Philips booth with the powerful Palette VL control console, but will also be showcasing the new 250 ML control console as well new Vision.net touchscreens with full color control capabilities.

The next evolution of the Series 200 console, the 250 ML features four encoders and an LCD display screen for quick and easy automated lighting and LED control. Along with all the standard features found on a preset desk, the 250 ML control console is ideal for smaller productions with a hybrid of lighting instruments.

The new Vision.Net touchscreen technology is designed to bring color control and flexibility to any space by providing large scale control for any environment.

Philips Selecon will showcase not only the PLProfile4 LED, but also PLProfile1 LED and PLFresnel1 LED luminaires.

The PLProfile4 LED luminaire features four 120W RGBW LED chips which create over 6,000 lumens of output while delivering limitless color options and variable color temperatures from 2,300K to 9,970K in white.

The PLProfile1 LED luminaire is a variable beam profile that produces precise beam control and pattern projection from a high output beam.

The PLFresnel1 is a general purpose luminaire for theatre and small studio applications that produces an adjustable cone of light with a soft edge which is easily blended with adjacent beams to provide even illumination.
