Antelope Orion32 Multi-Channel Interface, Nominated for TEC Award, to be Demonstrated at 2014 NAMM Show

Antelope Audio's Zodiac Platinum SDS DAC/Headphone Amp

During the 2014 NAMM Show running January 23 - 26, digital audio manufacturer Antelope Audio, exhibiting in booth 7118 - Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center, will demonstrate the power and flexibility of its newest multi-channel interface: the Orion32. Antelope's US director of sales and marketing, Marcel James, will be on hand to walk attendees through the unit's capabilities when used with hardware summing from Rupert Neve Designs and 500 series module inserts from Purple Audio, Maag Audio, Bettermaker, and Electrodyne. Antelope will also be demonstrating its Eclipse384 converter, with the Orion32 and Eclipse384 clocked by the company's 10M atomic clock.

Antelope's 2014 NAMM Show booth will feature rolling hourly demonstrations of its gear as well as the following guest VIP presenters at 1pm each day:
• Friday, January 24 - Eric Sarafin (aka Mixerman) (Foreigner, Ben Harper)
• Saturday, January 25 - Brian Vibberts (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, The Black Crowes)
• Sunday, January 26 - Howie Weinberg (Bjork, Ramones, Muse)

The Orion32 is a nominee for the 29th annual Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards in the "Computer Audio Hardware" category. The awards will be presented during the 2014 NAMM Show on Friday evening, January 24, at a special ceremony. The TEC Awards is the pro audio industry's most prestigious awards show honoring outstanding achievement in product innovation and sound production.

Antelope Audio's Orion32 is the world's first 32-channel AD/DA converter, supporting both MADI and USB interfaces, clocked by Antelope's renowned 64-bit acoustically focused clocking (AFC) technology. The device features 192 kHz I/O streaming of 32-channel digital audio through its custom-built USB chip, which provides simple connectivity to any USB-enabled DAW or computer. The converter also provides 32 channels of 96 kHz audio through its fiber optic MADI I/O connections, which can be used to connect with any suitably equipped MADI compatible device.

In addition to being a high quality audio converter, Orion32 is also an audio master clock. The device employs Antelope's proprietary fourth generation of AFC and oven controlled oscillator, technologies that made Antelope Audio clocks known for accuracy and reliability in recording, mastering, and post-production facilities. The four word clock outs, together with the 10 MHz input, make Orion32 the ideal centerpiece to any project studio, high-end studio, or live performance environment.

Antelope Audio also introduces its new Zodiac Platinum DSD DAC/headphone amplifier fresh from the International Consumer Electronics show. The Zodiac Platinum features a 256X upsampling mode, which helps realize the true potential of DSD -- delivering new standards in accuracy, transparency, imaging, and dynamics. In addition to featuring a custom-built USB chip capable of carrying DSD128 and up 24-bit, 384 kHz PCM files, the Zodiac Platinum boasts a wide range of connectivity options, including AES/EBU and S/PDIF I/O, a couple of TOSLINK inputs (PCM only), a set of balanced and unbalanced analog outs, as well as an unbalanced RCA input.
