Martin Professional, Peavey Co-Sponsoring Agora Stage at 2012 Musikmesse Frankfurt

Martin Professional is teaming up with Peavey Electronics to sponsor the popular Agora Stage at this year's Musikmesse in Frankfurt, March 21-24. Martin and Peavey will be providing a complete lighting and audio setup for both Agora stages during the entire four-day trade fair, which is held in conjunction with the Prolight + Sound exhibition.

The Agora Stage, a large festival tent, is the exhibition's main performance space with live entertainment throughout the show. On Thursday evening, March 22, Martin and Peavey will be holding a special Agora sponsors event with entertainment including The Alex Skolnick Trio and the Peavey All Stars. Alex Skolnick's past collaborations have included the singer Ozzy Osbourne and he has been a featured member of The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, selling out New York's Madison Square Garden. Most famously, Alex is lead guitarist for Testament who is touring with Anthrax later this year. The first band is scheduled to take the stage at 6:30pm.

The lighting setup will be dominated by Martin EC Series LED video screens in combination with a host of Martin MAC moving heads, including the award-winning MAC Aura. Lighting control will be handled from a Martin M1 console.

Peavey's commercial audio division will be supplying all the audio for the Agora Stage's setup, from the mixing desks to front-of-house PA and monitoring system. The gear to be used includes the Peavey Versarray 212, which is powered by Crest Pro amplifiers and controlled using the companies Media Matrix technology.

"We're again looking forward to the opportunity to put so much of our gear through its paces in front of what is a very critical audience!" said Clive Roberts, managing director of Peavey Europe. "It's great exposure for all the product lines, especially the Versarray system, which is a revolutionary product in its class."

In conjunction with the March 22 event, Martin has held a lighting programming contest for up-and-coming lighting programmers and operators. Besides receiving a selection of Martin controller products, the winner will have the opportunity to participate in the Agora event by assisting with setup, programming, and lighting operation of the live show.

Peter Kroul, sales director for Martin EMEA North, commented, "This year we are proud to celebrate our 25th anniversary and that is reason for us to announce a lot of special happenings at the exhibition starting with the product launch of a new generation of moving heads -- the MAC Viper family -- as well as new M-Series controllers and additions to our creative LED video panels. Additionally, we will present a lecture at the Media Systems Congress, hold a 'meet and greet' at our booth every day starting at 4pm, and on Thursday, March 22 we invite all loyal Martin fans to the Agora sponsors event and our 'Martin Welcome Party.' Let's celebrate our 25th anniversary together."
