A.C.T Lighting to Distribute ImageCue Embedded Servers in North America

A.C.T Lighting announces the addition of the ImageCue image server to the line of products it represents in North America. ImageCue enables users to select and display images and videos from a DMX512 lighting console without requiring the complexity of a media server.

"ImageCue is an innovative image server that's compact, powerful and elegant," says Bill Gallinghouse, vice president of strategy and business development at A.C.T Lighting. "We're delighted to be the exclusive North American distributor for this unique product."

"A.C.T Lighting brings a wealth of industry experience to the marketing and support of new products in the entertainment lighting industry. So I am proud that they have chosen to be the exclusive North American distributor for ImageCue," says ImageCue CEO Bill Hewlett. "The collaborative spirit of the A.C.T team has been instrumental in making ImageCue a better product."

The easy-to-use ImageCue image server provides control of High Definition still images and videos with only 12 channels of DMX512. Each ImageCue includes a library of 255 images and videos; users can supply their own images and videos using a USB flash drive or external hard drive to provide access to over 65,000 image and video files.

Images and videos are selected and displayed/played in less than a quarter of a second. Users can instantly "bump" from image to image, image to video, video to video, or video to image. Still images can also be crossfaded-with crossfade times of 1/2 second to 109 minutes in 1/10 second increments.

ImageCue also accepts JPEG files for still images, and H264 (AVI) video files. PNG files with transparency can be overlaid onto images and videos. A software utility to convert user content to H264 format is available for MOV, MP4, AVI, MPEG, and VOB video file types.

ImageCue gives the user full RGB mixing control of the background; color mixing can also be used in the foreground to tint images and videos. Full dimming control is provided for the output.

Hewlett declares that, "A.C.T Lighting's ability to market and support new products in the entertainment lighting industry is second to none. I look forward to working with everyone on the A.C.T team to make ImageCue a significant part of their industry-leading product line."
