Silver Falls Capital Acquires CITC, an Innovator in Special Effects Products for the Entertainment Industry

Silver Falls Capital announced yesterday that it has acquired privately held CITC Corp. and associated real estate. Based in Everett, Washington, CITC manufactures and distributes special effects products across multiple industries.

For almost 30 years, CITC has delivered a portfolio of products, fluids, and expendables that create dramatic special effects used in motion pictures, TV and commercials, theatres, sporting events, theme parks, and live music venues. These include effects like snow, wind, foam, haze, and fog and products like the award-winning AquaMax -- the first machine, to deliver water based, 100-percent organic odorless haze -- dubbed the "healthiest haze in the world."

"It is an honor to be entrusted with a legacy built over three decades by CITC. We are elated to be the new owners of such an innovative company and we're particularly impressed with the company's business model and products. We see strong growth opportunities across multiple verticals and look forward to continuing the tradition of new, 'wow-factor' special effects their customers have come to expect." said Paul de la Port, the company's new president and a co-founder, partner at Silver Falls Capital.

The company will continue to manufacture products out of its facility in Everett Washington, and be supported by a global network of dealers. For customers, dealers, and vendors the company expects no changes in day to day, it's "business as usual."

"As entrepreneurs and inventors, who we sold the company to, was no small decision. We entertained a number of interested parties, but ultimately it boiled down to buyers that really understand products, who care about the team, who bring expertise, and are in it for the long haul." said Stephany Crawford, co-founder of CITC. "Paul and Jason, and Silver Falls Capital were a great fit for what we envisioned for the future of the company."
