Telefunken Partners With Indaba Music for Mixing Contest, Winners Compete for Telefunken Microphones

Telefunken Elektroakustik has partnered with Indaba Music to present a monthly mixing contest: Telefunken Multi Track Sessions Live. Each month, a new song recorded exclusively with the company's microphones, live on stage in front of an audience, will be available for download as part of the mixing contest.

"Go Go Go," recorded live with Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, is the first song in the ongoing monthly contest. Bluhm previously released an acclaimed solo record before relaunching her country soul career with the Gramblers. Contest participants can enter by submitting their mixes via the Indaba Music contest page. The top ten mixes will be determined by popular vote, with a winning mix judged by the artist and Telefunken's staff members.

Each month, both the winner and the popular vote winner will receive a Telefunken microphone. Prizes include microphones from the R-F-T and Dynamic Series including the M82 Dynamic, M81 Universal Dynamic and the M80 Dynamic, as well as the CU-29 Copperhead, AR-51, AK-47mkII and the ELA M 260.

Telefunken's Multi Track Sessions Live is an excellent tool for auditioning the Telefunken microphone product line in the comfort and familiarity of a personal studio or listening environment. Focusing on the Dynamic Series, these recordings feature the newly released M82 on kick drum alongside the M81 on guitars and toms, and the M80 on vocals and snare drum, as well as the ELA M 260 small diaphragm tube mic on drum overheads and room mics.

Indaba Music offers a place for musicians around the world to network and make music together through online collaboration. Created in 2007, Indaba Music is an online platform offering the tools and services that help musicians across all aspects of their careers -- from networking and education, to production, promotion, and distribution.

To enter the Telefunken Multi Track Session Live mixing contest, or to download these multi track files to practice and test mixing skills, visit the Indaba Music contest page on Telefunken's website.

Contestants can download, mix, and submit entries from May 28 - June 18. Online voting will take place from June 18 - June 25. Winners will be announced on July 2, 2013.
