Philips Vari-Lite Announces VL4000 BeamWash Product Showcase Dates

Vari-Lite's VL4000 BeamWash

Philips Vari-Lite announces new product showcase dates for the VL4000 BeamWash. Starting in Los Angeles at Club Nokia, public showcases for the VL4000 BeamWash will also take place in Mexico City at Sound:Check Xpo, plus the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville. The new VL4000 BeamWash combines stunning wash capabilities with intense beam functionality and the ability to produce a powerful, collimated shaft of light all without the need to change lenses.

"Since its initial announcement, the VL4000 BeamWash has received a tremendous amount of inquiries from not only our authorized dealers but from end users as well," said Julie Smith, Philips Entertainment general manager of the Americas. "We are proud to be hitting the road with a fantastic new lighting tool that offers new levels of creativity, and we can't wait to showcase it in some amazing venues."

Producing 43,000 lumens in standard mode (35,000 studio mode), the VL4000 BeamWash uses a Philips 1200W lamp to provide incredible point-of-source imagery through its single 10" front lens. When used in wash mode, the luminaire provides a 10- to 60-degree zoom range. By simply adjusting a DMX value, the VL4000 BeamWash can shift to an intense beam luminaire with an amazing 4- to 40-degree beam angle, or a shaft fixture for a powerful, collimated ray of light where the 4-degree beam angle can be further reduced to near zero.
