Shure Announces Second "Celebrating Women in Tech" Panel Discussion, Featuring Professionals in Location Sound

Shure announces the second installment in their Celebrating Women in Tech webinar series, focused on Location Sound, featuring a panel of leading female location sound professionals from around the world to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and the future of capturing location sound for film, television, and broadcast.

Shure president and CEO Christine Schyvinck will moderate the discussion, which includes the following panelists:

• Christy Illius - A sound engineer from New York City, Christy has worked on films including West Side Story and In the Heights. She is also the production sound mixer for the television show American Horror Story.

• Lilou Augier - Lilou is the co-founder and creative director of "Panic Ball Productions," a Tokyo-based bilingual production house specializing in narrative-driven media.

• Ivonne Gärber - Gärber is a sound engineer for various film and television projects. Since 2010, she has also been teaching practical sound work and sound design at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt and other institutions.

• Lisa Piñero - Piñero is an Emmy-nominated production sound mixer for film, television, and commercials. She is best known for her work on the films Licorice Pizza, White Noise, and Marriage Story.

This webinar is for anyone interested in learning more about location sound or the challenges of being a woman in the pro audio industry.
