Chauvet Professional Unveils Rogue RH1 Hybrid Moving Head

Chauvet Professional's Rogue RH1 Hybrid moving head luminaire

Taking its game-changing Rogue Series to new levels, Chauvet Professional has added -- the multi-use Rogue RH1 Hybrid. Combining a powerful beam and spot effect in one compact unit, the Rogue RH1 Hybrid is an amazingly versatile light that can produce a tight beam angle of 1- to 4.5-degrees in the beam mode, and a zoom angle of 5- to 19-degrees in spot mode, for an array of beam size options.

The Rogue RH1 Hybrid emits 111,000 lux at 15m, thanks to its 330W, 8,000K Osram Sirius lamp. This gives it the brawn to light up large concert tours, while being equally well suited to small and mid-sized productions, corporate events, and installations of all sizes.

The Rogue RH1 Hybrid is loaded with a "designer's dream" palette of mind-blowing visual effects. For starters, there are two prisms -- a six-facet and an eight-facet -- which are independently controllable and can be overlapped to add dazzling depth and layers. There is also a frost feature that can be layered with the eight-facet prism to morph into a distinctly different, but equally dramatic opaque look. The frost adds the versatility of a wash effect to this already feature-packed fixture.

Additionally, the Rogue RH1 Hybrid is equipped with two gobo wheels, one rotating and one static, for dynamic image projection and morphing. A separate color wheel with 13 vibrant hues further expands design possibilities.

Like other members of the Rogue Series, the Rogue RH1 Hybrid delivers performance with a cache of professional features. But with its hybrid beam/spot functionality, this newest model goes a step further, said Chauvet Professional product manager Michael Graham, and can best be described as a "Rogue on steroids."

"If the Chauvet's Rogue Series was a game changer, then the Rogue RH1 Hybrid is a league changer," commented Graham. "It's in a league by itself. There's no other moving head on the market like it, when you consider the design versatility of its hybrid beam/spot capabilities, combined with its ultra-bright output, unique feature set and value-driven price."

"For instance," Graham added, "the Rogue RH1 Hybrid's overlapping six-facet and eight-facet prism effects are totally electrifying, but you won't find this feature on any other moving head that can even be discussed in the same breath. The Rogue RH1 Hybrid is a powerhouse multi-functional fixture that will give any lighting designer the tool they've been waiting for to help them break through new creative boundaries in their productions."

Fast, smooth, and precise in its pan/tilt operation, the Rogue RH1 Hybrid is controllable via standard DMX. It is equipped with three-pin and five-pin connectors and offers two DMX profiles -- 25- or 30-channel -- to provide programming versatility.

Measuring just 16.1" x 12.9" x 25.8" (409mm x 327mm x 638mm), the Rogue RH1 Hybrid is also very compact in size, making it easy to transport and set up. The fixture includes two quarter-turn Omega mounting brackets that match those on other Chauvet Professional Rogue and Legend Series products.
