Barco Signs Ingram Micro to Expand Distribution Network of Business Projectors and Collaboration Solutions

Barco is now offering its Present-P and Present-C Series business projectors along with ClickShare through a US distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc.. The new agreement was formed to expand Barco's reach in the United States, while filling a specific meeting room technology niche in Ingram Micro's product line. Barco's distribution model promotes success by leveraging the value that this channel brings for the logistical, support, and marketing capabilities that distributors offer, the company says.

"Collaborative visualization solutions are in growing demand and present a lucrative sales opportunity for channel partners who are dedicated to helping businesses realize the promise of technology," says Tim Ament, SVP of Advanced Solutions, Ingram Micro. "The Barco Present projectors are an especially welcome addition to our business technology line-up, fulfilling the need for high-resolution presentation tools in the education, healthcare, and government markets. We're equally excited to build on Barco's ClickShare's momentum by broadening its reach to thousands of new resellers across the U.S."

Barco's business projectors come in both single- and three-chip DLP models, offering a range of lumens and resolutions suited to a wide variety of professional applications, from boardrooms to classrooms to large auditoriums. Barco projectors feature panoramic resolution, present clear images in any environment. When combined with Barco's ClickShare single-click presentation system, users can elevate their meeting rooms to a more powerful level of usability, leading to enhanced meeting efficiency and better collaboration, the company says.

"Ingram Micro addresses a very new part of the market for us and we're looking forward to the opportunity that lies ahead for both companies and our mutual channel partners," says Patrick Lee, vice president entertainment for Barco. "Ingram Micro brings a wealth of local market and demand generation expertise to this relationship and we're excited about our future together."
