USITT Unveils New Website for 2015 Cincinnati Show

USITT has launched the new website for its 2015 Conference & Stage Expo, at www.usittshow.org.

The site, branded exclusively for USITT 2015, makes it fun and easy to find info and plan for the big event March 18 - 21 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Check out the site to explore what's in store for Cincy and book your hotel room. Online housing is now open. Conference registration will open in the coming weeks.

The USITT Show site is packed with content, and USITT will update and add information leading up to the show. It's easy to navigate and will allow attendees to easily book housing, register for the Conference, and join or renew USITT membership all at the same time.

The website offers an exciting glimpse of USITT 2015, what the association says promises a spectacular showcase of the best our industry has to offer.

Highlights for 2015 include Light Lab, a hands-on immersion experience using the latest lighting tools and techniques; the Exhibitor Backdrop Showcase, a giant display of the best work by our scenic manufacturers; and Tech Expo, the biennial gallery of ingenious innovations by USITT members.

Backstage Broadway celebs to be honored in person include Tony-winning costume designer Jane Greenwood, projection designer and educator Wendall Harrington, and scenic designer Doug Schmidt. USITT's 2015 keynote speaker is the dynamic Terrence Spivey, artistic director of the nation's oldest black theatre, Cleveland's Karamu House.

The Conference will offer an array of educational sessions, ranging from fascinating history to advanced training. They include "Extravaganza! Liberace's Life in Costume;" "Immersive Production: Audience and Performance Blending;" "Digital Content Creation for Projection Design;" "Why Can't I Use Green? Lighting and Color for Multi-Ethnic Casts;" the "Tom Skelton Retrospective," and "Safety Inspections 202," to name a few.

Stage Expo continues to get bigger and better every year, with over 200 leading entertainment technology companies already planning their booths, two dozen of them new or returning organizations.

The website also links to the new USITT mobile app, USITT 365, which is available at www.usitt.org/mobile -- and to USITT social media on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest.
