It's All About Listening with Meyer Sound at InfoComm 2012

The listener's experience comes first and foremost for Meyer Sound, and InfoComm 2012, exhibiting in booth C9717, running June 13-15, in Las Vegas, Nevada, will bring this emphasis into focus. Starting with the immersive multichannel sound event entitled "Surrounded in New York," the Meyer Sound systems in action at the show will surely leave an ear-opening impression with the visitors.

In one of Las Vegas Convention Center's larger meeting rooms (N110), Meyer Sound will set up the largest and most sophisticated multichannel surround system the company has ever assembled for a trade show. Combining the versatility and realism of the Constellation acoustic system and SpaceMap multichannel surround panning through the D-Mitri digital audio platform, a special demo program "Surrounded in New York" will transform one's perception of space.

The live presentations will also offer a sneak peak of the extraordinary linearity of the 1100-LFC low frequency control element, a new loudspeaker for low-end directional applications in large-scale tours and installations.

On the main show floor, the recently expanded range of low-voltage, self-powered solutions will be shown in the US for the first time, including three 48V, DC-powered models: the UPJunior-XP, VariO, and UPM-1XP loudspeakers and the UMS-1XP subwoofer.

As one of the first AVnu Alliance promoter members, Meyer Sound will join other manufacturers in the alliance to show the importance of the AVB (Audio Video Bridging) networking standards. At the AVnu Alliance Pavilion, exhibiting in booth C11309, the Meyer Sound CAL column array loudspeaker will participate in the biggest AVB interoperability demonstration to date. Ellen Juhlin, digital products analyst at Meyer Sound, will lead two sessions on "AVB for Live Events" on the AVnu Alliance booth.

Other education opportunities at the show facilitated by Meyer Sound include Buford Jones' "Live Mixing" on June 13 at 10:30am and "Mix it up -- Live Audio Workshop" on June 13 at 12:30pm. On June 14 at 10:30am, consultant Bill Schuermann, who has implemented numerous Meyer Sound systems including the recent Houston Ballet, will lead the discussion "Low Voltage Audio Systems: Raising the Bar."
