MHA Audio Acquires Martin Audio MLA System

MHA Audio team: Dave Collela, John Lee, Dave Rittenhouse, Bruce Nelms, and Mike Scarfe

MHA Audio of Hagerstown, Maryland, a sound reinforcement and live event production company in the northeastern US, recently joined ranks with other leading audio providers who have acquired the breakthrough Martin Audio MLA Multi-cellular Loudspeaker Array system.

MHA Audio provides professional sound systems and production management services regularly for leading local promoters and event companies such as IMP Productions, Live Nation, Merriweather Post Pavilion, Pier Six Pavilion Partners, and Showcall Inc.

As part of its dynamic growth, MHA Audio has purchased the MLA System 36 (24 MLA enclosures and 12 MLX subwoofers) to fulfill the company's busy schedule of live events. MHA recently provided their new MLA rig for the annual Capital Jazz Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion along with shows by Maroon Five, Katy Perry, Fiona Apple, Drive by Truckers & Lucinda Williams, AVICII, Kaskade, Queensryche, Luke Bryan, and other leading artists.

Commenting on the MLA acquisition, MHA Audio owner Mike Scarfe said, "MHA Audio is excited to offer the MLA System to our clients. The MLA's ability to create a uniform response through the listening area, control coverage, and its unparalleled sonic quality sets a new standard of excellence in professional audio far beyond anything that is currently available. In addition, there are considerable cost savings with transportation. This entire MLA system, which is capable of covering most outdoor shed style venues, will fit in one 26' box truck."

Martin Audio director of North American operations Rob Hofkamp added, "Having known Mike for over 20 years, I am thrilled to welcome him and his team at MHA to the MLA family. The combination of MLA technology and MHA's ability to provide an uncompromising level of quality in production and support for their clients will definitely raise the bar for excellence in live audio production."
