Avolites Announces Exclusive US Distribution Deal

British lighting console manufacturer Avolites has signed an exclusive distribution deal with New York-based Group One Professional Audio and Lighting.

"This is a fantastic arrangement for Avolites," explains Koy Neminathan, sales director at Avolites. "It will enable Avolites to extend its product reach into the US market while being able to service already existing US clients more efficiently, obviously we are delighted."

Avolites' decision to partner with Group One Ltd was based on the US company's extensive industry experience as well as the opportunity for Avolites to be part of Group One's rapidly expanding lighting division.

"This is a great day for Avolites, Group One, and the lighting industry," continues Avolites' managing director Steve Warren. "Jack Kelly and the team at Group One share our vision of growth in the USA driven by excellent customer service and the best project support possible. Avolites has made great strides with the introduction of the Sapphire Touch and Titan Mobile, expanding our popular range of Titan family consoles all powered by the Titan engine. With Titan V7 set for release the best is yet to come! Hold onto your hats USA and get ready for it!"

Group One president Jack Kelly comments: "Avolites is one of the great legacy brands in the lighting industry and all of us at Group One are looking forward to further developing the US market for a great range of products from a great company."

The US lighting and sound distributor has selected Brad White to head up company's Avolites division as their national sales manager. White, who during his time at TERI productions both as COO and lighting/tech designer has worked extensively with Avolites products and is thrilled to be officially affiliated with the UK console manufacturer.

Kelly says that the choice to go with White was clear from the start. "I know that the market here has such a great deal of respect for Brad's knowledge and work ethic and we are extremely happy to welcome him into the Group One family."

White will focus on the development of the Avolites brand in America working with lighting designers, specifiers, dealers, production companies, and facilities. The appointment reunites White with Avolites in the US, where he served as technical support and sales manager (and affectionately known as "Mr. Avo") for more than a decade.

"Avolites has been a part of my life for many years and it's great to be officially back!" says White. "I'm very excited join the Group One family, the US distributor's industry experience is going to be an amazing asset to the Avolites brand."

The company says Avolites is dedicated to producing the very best control solutions for all aspects of the professional lighting industry. According to the company, Avolites equipment utilizes cutting-edge technology while retaining the accessible, intuitive, hands-on familiarity for which Avolites' products have become popular.

Avolites consoles have been used on a number of American events this year, including UK-based lighting designer Dave Byars who put his brand new Avolites Sapphire Touch to work on Brit-pop band Blur's heavily atmospheric 2013 show at the Coachella festival California.
