ETCP Paper and Pencil Testing Offered at LDI2013 in Las Vegas

Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) provides evidence of a recipient's technical proficiency as a rigger and electrician. ETCP certification exhibits professionalism and offers the opportunity to distinguish the holder to venues and employers seeking to fill positions -- including lead positions -- with certified technicians across North America. To date, ETCP has issued over 1,600 certifications.

The ETCP examinations will be given at LDI 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. All three ETCP examinations will be given in one session the morning of Saturday, November 23, 2013. Candidates who wish to take more than one exam should contact ETCP. Interested applicants must submit their application, along with supporting materials and fee, to the ETCP office no later than October 28, 2013.

Candidate information, including eligibility requirements, applications, and study tactics, is available on the ETCP website at the URL below, or if prospects need the information mailed, contact Meredith Moseley-Bennett, ETCP certification manager, at 212-244-1505 or etcp@plasa.org.

In addition, ETCP examinations are given daily at over 190 computer based testing centers across the US and Canada. After an application has been received and accepted, candidates will be sent information on how to schedule an examination at a site, date, and time that is most convenient for them.

The ETCP Council members are key leaders drawn from entertainment business, labor, facilities, associations, and academia representing the diversity of the entertainment industry. Membership includes PLASA, Actsafe, AMPTP, Cirque du Soleil/MGM Mirage, CITT, Disney Theatrical Productions, IAVM, IATSE, InfoComm, The League, Live Nation, PRG, TEA, and USITT. ETCP is a PLASA initiative created to promote industry safety.

See ETCP at PLASA Focus: Austin, September 10-11, and PLASA Focus: Nashville, February 18-19, 2014.
