Robe, Clay Paky, and Shure Sponsor PLASA London 2014

Robe, Clay Paky, and Shure have been announced as the headline sponsors for PLASA London 2014. The show, which returns to ExCeL London for a second consecutive year starts on Sunday, October 5 and is expecting visitor numbers of over 13,000. There they will see 250 exhibiting brands and 100 hours of educational seminar content along with numerous press launches, parties, networking events, and gala dinners.

Robe Lighting is Platinum Sponsor for the third year running and will mark the occasion by occupying a huge, 1,000 square metre space on the show floor. Robe World promises to deliver a new experience to visitors, while showcasing the manufacturer's range of innovative, high-quality moving lights and digital lighting products for the professional entertainment and leisure, architectural, and themed environment industries.

The stand celebrates Robe's 20th anniversary in the industry and will feature the new Robe Bright Multi-Functional Luminaire (BMFL) Spot, which is being launched at PLASA. It will also host a gala dinner, as industry figures gather to mark the company's achievements over the last two decades. Robe World, located in Hall 9 and only accessible through its own entrance from Hall 8, will be a "show within the show."

Mick Hannaford from Robe is convinced about the value of the show. "Where better to celebrate our 20th year than here in London at PLASA. Through the years this has been THE show that has helped Robe connect with Designers, Buyers, and Re-sellers through the world-but most importantly, it's the show that works with the industry-for the industry. We can't imagine being able to bring this sort of size exhibit to any other show-it just couldn't happen without the critical understanding and support of the organizer."

Gold Sponsor, Clay Paky, manufactures professional lighting solutions for television, theatre, and concert touring applications, and has supported PLASA London for many years. Sales & marketing director, Pio Nahum, explains why:

"Clay Paky is delighted to be able to offer Gold level sponsorship to the PLASA London 2014. We believe PLASA is an important international showcase for new products, with the UK home to many of the world's most creative and influential lighting designers. Clay Paky's mission is to support such designers in as many ways as is helpful.

"This year in our stand (Hall 8 - S80) we will be showing off a number of exciting new products with a totally new presentation format. Top designers and end users should not miss this opportunity to preview our latest lighting innovations that have been developed and fine-tuned in response to their feedback. We are quietly confident that these new luminaires will be incorporated into the forefront of this season's lighting design palettes."

Shure Distribution UK completes the line-up as Silver Sponsor and joins us for the first time as a headline sponsor.

As exclusive distributor for Shure, QSC, DIS, Radial, Primacoustic, Sound Devices and Servoreeler in the UK and Eire, the company has a wealth of entertainment technology to present on its stand in Hall 8 - B40, including the new Shure QLX-D wireless microphone system.

"SDUK is proud to support PLASA 2015 in our expanded role as headline sponsor," comments Kirsty Lamport, the company's head of marketing. "The show proved itself to be a great success for us again last year, following the move to Excel. It will be the perfect place to debut QLX-D, which we look forward to demonstrating to customers during the show, and we'll also have some exciting announcements to make on the first day."

In addition to the main exhibition space, the Professional Development Programme will supply four days of free-to-attend seminar sessions that will test theory, inspire debate, and positively impact the different strands of the entertainment technology industry. This year, the Professional Development Programme will occupy two spaces on the show floor-the Audio and AV Theatre and the Lighting and Stage Theatre. All sessions are free to attend for PLASA London 2014 badge holders but additional registration is required at www.plasashow.com/programme.

The PLASA Innovation Gallery will take center stage, showcasing this year's most innovative products and recognizing them during an awards evening on Tuesday, October 7.

Event director, James Ashwood, comments: "We are all really excited about this year's show. We have some fantastic brands on the show floor, planning some really impressive demonstrations. For people who love seeing new product showcases-and a lot of them-PLASA London remains the definitive UK exhibition for the live entertainment technology industries."

PLASA London takes place from Sunday, October 5 to Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at ExCeL London. Access to the show is available for £10 online - visit www.plasashow.com to register. Alternatively, trade suppliers exhibiting at the show can provide free entry. Once registered, PLASA will provide updates about key product launches, networking events and after show parties.
