Hall Research's Model UH-1D Economically Extends HDMI on UTP Cable

Hall Research's Model UH-1D sender and receiver

Hall Research has announced the availability of the Model UH-1D for extending uncompressed HDMI or DVI video economically using a single twisted pair (UTP) cable. The easy to install kit is comprised of a compact and sturdy sender and a corresponding receiver. The extender supports PC resolutions from VGA to UXGA and HDTV resolutions from 480p to 1080p. UXGA and 1080p signals can be extended to over 130' (40m).

The feature rich UH-1D provides a loop HDMI output on the sender for connection to a local display as well as a single RJ45 output for connection to the remote receiver. EDID management is provided with the ability to learn and emulate EDID from any display using a "learn" button on the sender. The receiver provides separate digital audio (SPDIF) and analog stereo (L/R) outputs in addition to the HDMI signal to the display. The UH-1D allows connection of an IR detector and an IR emitter cable to each end. This provides the ability to extend IR signals in either direction. The extenders include provisions for easy surface mounting and also feature locking HDMI connectors to secure compatible HDMI locking cables.
