Cincinnati Opera Announces Intern Opportunities

Cincinnati Opera, in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking individuals for the following internships for the 2016 Summer Season. These entry-level positions offer college students an excellent opportunity to learn about operations of an opera company.

All interns will be responsible for their own housing and transportation. Benefits include comp tickets and paid parking.

Interviews will be conducted in late January and February 2016. These internships are intended for those wishing to pursue a career in production or arts management.

Among others, internships are available in scenic design, lighting design, and hair and makeup. Each pays a weekly stipend of $330.

The summer season at Cincinnati Opera will feature productions of Die Fledermaus, Fidelio, Tosca, and the world premiere of Fellow Traveler -- libretto by Greg Pierce, music by Gregory Spears -- which is set in Washington, DC during the Joseph McCarthy red-scare era.
